Andreea Pleșea, Chief Operating Officer & Co-founder Druid AI

What do you find most rewarding about your day-to-day activity?

Honestly? It's proof of impact — hearing that something we built quietly made a client's day easier, or their work genuinely better. That's why we do this. Also, a rewarding moment for me is when me and and my team can shape people' destinies, the interns and students.

Watching a person walk in unsure and having the first real job of their career and months later being involved in customer projects, having initiative and being bolder — that's not just rewarding, it's the feeling that you did something good and helped someone lay the foundation for their careers. Building a place where people visibly grow isn't a side effect of our culture. It is our culture.

What daily habit do you believe contributes most to your success?

One hour of exercise before I make a single decision. It's not about the workout — it's about starting the day on my terms instead of reacting to it. Add coffee (non-negotiable, don't test me), and that's the whole formula. Small, boring rituals — but they compound into the kind of clarity you need to lead well, not just show up.

What's a hobby of yours or something about you that your colleagues might find surprising?

I garden, which sounds unrelated to running a business until you realize it's the same instinct: patience, tending, watching something grow because you showed up for it consistently. I'm also a lifelong DIY-er — as a kid I spent my own pocket money replacing the knobs on our living room furniture, utterly convinced I'd transformed the whole room. My parents came home to a small coup. That instinct — see something, improve it, don't wait for permission — is basically how I still operate today, just with bigger rooms.

Also, I'm quietly obsessed with Britain, especially escaping into the countryside on rare free afternoons between meetings.

However, the most pleasant moments are when I bake with my kids now, which taught me something useful: the best things happen when you let people make a mess and figure it out together.

If you were to associate yourself with a fictional character, who would it be? Why?

As a kid it was Dexter, always experimenting, or Buttercup, always the most competitive Powerpuff Girl. Today, it's Wonder Woman — not for the strength, but for what she represents: showing up fully for everything that matters — work, people, family — without treating any of it as a trade-off. That's the kind of leadership I believe in. Not doing it all alone, but caring enough about every part of it to give it your full self.

If you were to do something completely different, what would it be?

Teaching. There's nothing more energizing than standing in front of people hungry to learn and trading knowledge for their curiosity in return — I've gotten real tastes of that through project-based teaching over the years, and it never stops being addictive.

And purely for fun: a lawyer, for the pitching. Give me a case worth making and an audience, and I'm alive. Honestly, that's not so different from convincing a room full of smart people to believe in an idea nobody's built yet.

How would you describe the DRUID team in 5 words?

 Innovative. Driven. Creative. Family. Unstoppable.

Why should someone join the Druid team?

You'll join a team that still moves like it did on day one — everyone pulling in the same direction, not because they're told to, but because they actually care. About the work. About each other. Across every team, every region, no exceptions.

This is a place that hands you real autonomy from day one — your ideas carry weight regardless of your title — and where the learning curve is steep because we trust you to climb it. If you want a place where growth isn't a slogan but something you'll watch happen to you and the people around you, this is it.
