What’s the "Cristina Costeiu" story so far?

Five years ago, I decided to leave the corporate world and take a leap into the startup life. To be honest, I didn’t know that much about startups back then, but I was curious, ready for a challenge and I decided to give it a try.

I joined Druid as a Product Owner, which turned out to be the perfect starting point for me. It gave me the opportunity to learn a lot, understand our technology from the inside, and most importantly, understand our customers and their needs.

Since then, I’ve moved through different roles and had the chance to grow alongside the company. And when I look back at the decision I made five years ago, I can honestly say I would make the same choice all over again.

What does a really good day look like for you?

On a personal level, a really good day would definitely involve a beach, a good book and absolutely no rush. Just reading, relaxing, and being present. Basically, a day where my biggest decision is whether I should have another coffee or go for a swim.

At work, a good day is one where things move forward when you have a productive discussion, solve a problem that has been on your mind, see an idea turning into something real, or simply feel that the team has made progress together.

What’s one thing being a mom has taught you that you now use at work, too?

I think becoming a mom, especially while continuing to work, teaches you very quickly that time is a precious resource. You become much more organised, you learn to prioritise and you become a lot more intentional about how you spend your time.

You also learn that not everything needs to be perfect, which is probably an important lesson at work too. Sometimes “good and done” is better than “perfect and still in progress.” And, of course, you become very good at multitasking…

If you could spend a day in someone else’s role at Druid, whose would you choose and why?

I’d choose a role that’s very close to our customers because I think there’s always something new to learn from them. Every customer has different challenges, expectations, and ways of working and seeing Druid through their eyes gives you a completely different perspective. After all, we build the product for them, so I think it’s always worth getting as close as possible to their reality.

What feature of the product makes it easiest for you to recommend it?

We have a great product  and it’s not just me saying that. Our clients are probably our strongest proof point. Many of them have been using Druid for years, helping us improve the product, challenging us with new use cases and pushing us to continuously add new capabilities.

What I particularly like is that the platform combines speed with flexibility. The pre-built AI Agents allow businesses to get started and deliver value quickly, while the flexibility of the product makes it possible to adapt configurations as the business changes because, as we all know, business plans have a funny habit of changing along the way.

And then there’s the analytics and being able to see in real time how an AI Agent is performing and understand the actual benefits and impact of automation makes the value much more tangible.

So, if I had to pick just one thing, I’d say it’s the combination of speed, flexibility, and visibility. You can move fast, adapt as you go and actually see the results from the very first day.

Why should someone join the DRUID team?

The people would be one of my first answers. When I joined Druid, one of the things I liked most was the team and I quickly discovered a group of passionate, skilled people who are genuinely willing to help and give an extra hand when needed.

We’re also all moving in the same direction, which made a big difference, especially in a startup phase where things could change quickly and you sometimes had to figure things out as you go.
Another great thing is the variety. You get exposure to different industries, customers, challenges and a lot of interesting use cases. There isn’t really a traditional “job description” where you do exactly the same thing every day  and that can be both challenging and exciting.

And, importantly, there’s room to grow. You can take on new responsibilities, explore different areas, learn from others, and grow together with the company.

So, if you’re looking for a place where you can learn, have an impact, work with smart and passionate people and occasionally figure things out together along the way, I think Druid could be a pretty good place to start.
